I am a wife, mother and multimedia designer living in beautiful Boise, Idaho. I share my home with my husband, Douglas, our two children, Richard, and Kathryn and several Yorkshire Terriers. I am also a recent graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and now hold a Bachelor’s degree in Web Design and Interactive Media.
My reason for becoming a web designer is that I realized how much I enjoy creating with computers. As a former Administrative Assistant/Database Administrator, I used the computer every day. However, my responsibilities mostly revolved around assisting others in their creative processes.
Today, I have the skills and know-how to design and develop creative solutions across web-related mediums. I can manipulate screen layouts, images, graphics, video, and typography and create websites via scripting languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
I am a hardworking, creative individual with exceptional attention to detail, and I look forward to working with you. I look forward to new and challenging projects that push me to learn more about this vast field of web design. My Creative Process
Let me share my creative process and so you know what to expect. My goal is to make this process as easy as possible. While each project can be different, there are a few basics that are always the same.
Discovery
I begin by meeting with you and discussing your business. We discuss what you plan to achieve with this new website or multimedia project. I also research your customers and competition and begin to develop the seeds that will later grow into your project.
Brainstorm
Next, I brainstorm your brand and get my creative juices flowing. I sketch, find photos, create graphics and present you with sketches for review.
Design
Depending on the type of project, I will prototype, provide sitemaps, wireframes, storyboards, strategy, personas or mockups at this stage. Again, we’ll pass it back and forth until it’s as perfect as possible. With your approval, we can move on to the next stage
Build
Applying the industry’s top standards, I’ll construct your project.
Launch
After I get your final approval I launch your new website or multimedia project.
